The Music Icon Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Teaser

The celebrated musician is preparing for a major cinematic onslaught in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.

Within the project, she embodies what she calls as a dark version of herself.

It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever witnessed, Charli stated.

She elaborated in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration came from the expectation to produce one.

A Glimpse into The Project

The debut trailer, unveiled on Thursday, blends authentic footage from her live performances with fictionalized off-stage interactions.

The film is overseen and co-authored by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the plot revolves around a reality where the singer made entirely different choices throughout the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

A Hectic Acting Schedule

This project is just one of many future movie projects for Charli, who already appeared in three cinematic festival entries this year.

Additionally took on her own role in the Amazon series Overcompensating.

What’s Next

Next year will also see the star with Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

Additionally, she agreed to appear in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

I’m thoroughly loving my cinematic path, the performer expressed. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in this area, and I always choose to take on roles that stimulate me.

Soundtrack Involvement

Next February will also see the release of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from Charli.

She is also set to compose the score for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release soon.

The film will be released on 30 January.
